Match Tables by Columns in Excel

It can compare columns in a list or table between two tables, can also get matching rows in Table1 from Table2, according to columns in the two table.

Tool location: Add-Ins →Excel Tool Box → Match Tables: Shortcuts: (Alt + X + X + E)

Select the first table:Table1

Before you start Match Tables Wizard, select a cell in your Table1 and the whole table will be selected automatically.

Open the Match Tables pane by clicking on: Add-Ins →Excel Tool Box → Match Tables or pressing the Shortcuts: (Alt + X + X + E ).

Click the Next > button:

Select the first table:Table2

You can select it by clicking the select Range icon

Select a cell in your Table2 and the whole table will be selected automatically.

Click the Select Table2 button:

Click the Next > button:

Select matching columns, Click 'Add Column' button, You can select more matching columns:

Click the Next > button:

Please select a matching pattern:

Click the Finish button: Excel Tables matches completed!

Find three columns matching records in two tables

1.Two tables contain the same records: Red color area.

Select a cell in your Table1, then Open the Match Tables pane by clicking on: Add-Ins →Excel Tool Box → Match Tables or pressing the Shortcuts: (Alt + X + X + E ).

Select a cell in your Table2:

Add three matching columns:

Select the Show matching rows, hidden rows that do not match radio button and the Put result in a new sheet check button

2. Table1 contain some records that the Table2 is missing: Red color area.

The above steps are the same, except the fourth steps:

Select the Show no matching rows, hide matching rows radio button and the Put result in a new sheet check button.

First select the Table 2:

then select the table 1.

Select the Show matching rows, hidden rows that do not match radio button and the Put result in a new sheet check button.
