How to split a sheet into sub sheets by the field in columns?
Taking a Cities sheet for example:

The sheet has columns like "City Name", "State", "Country". We can look at each State sub group by splitting it apart by the values in the "State" column. Thus, the Texas cities will be in a sheet, California cities in another, etc.
Step 1:
For Office 2007. Open "Add-Ins" tab and menu "Split Sheet > Split Worksheet".

For Office 2000/XP/2003. open menu "Split Sheet > Split Worksheet"

Step 2:
Select using which column(s) to split the sheet by

Select 2(B) ( State column).
Remark: 1(A) = City Name, 2(B) = State, 3(C) = Country
Step 3:
Select a value in the left list, double click or Click the 'Add' button and add to right list.
Step 4:
Select where to put the sub sheets.

Split the sheet into new sheets: Each sub table can be in a new sheet.
Split the sheet into new workbooks: Each sub table can be in a new excel file (workbook).
Step 5:
Click 'Split' button. Result of the split: 4 new sheets, each sheet has a subtable, the name of the sheets is set to the corresponding values in the column.
